About me
I am a PhD Candidate in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, where I am a member of Touchlab at the Games Institute. I am supervised by Dr. Mark Hancock and am set to defend my dissertation in April 2026. I previously received my M.Sc. in Computer Science at the University of Manitoba, supervised by Dr. Pourang Irani.
I am currently seeking opportunities for Assistant Professor, Post-doctoral Fellow, or Research Scientist positions.
Research Narrative
My research broadly covers Human-Computer Interaction with a focus on Virtual Reality (VR) and Haptic Feedback. I focus on the design and evaluation of Tangible World-in-Miniature (WiM) paradigms—bridging the gap between digital virtual environments and physical tangible interaction to improve spatial manipulation and navigation.
My work has been published in top-tier HCI venues including ACM CHI, Graphics Interface (GI), and SUI. I have extensive technical expertise in Unity, C#, and Rapid prototyping.
Research Interests
- Spatial UI: Tangible User Interfaces (TUIs) & World-in-Miniature paradigms.
- Immersive Tech: Virtual Reality (VR) & Augmented Reality (AR) interaction design.
- Haptics: Force-feedback and pneumatic interfaces for behavioral intervention.
